Pre-season campaign gathers pace

There is a hectic night of local football tonight as the pre-season campaign gathers pace.
Silsden face their first away match of the new season with a trip to Northern Counties East League side Brighouse Town, 7.45pm. After an impressive opening to their build-up with a 4-1 win over Oldham Athletic, the Cobbydalers have drawn one and lost three of their friendlies since then.
Their hosts are under new management with Mick Couzens at the helm and have so far impressed in their warm-up for the season with victories over Farsley and AFC Emley.
There’s another local derby on the 3G pitch at Greenhead where Bronte Wanderers will be looking to improve on Saturday’s defeat against Silsden Reserves when Steeton Reserves come visiting, 6.15pm.
Oxenhope Rec are also in action with a trip to the Northcliffe Playing Fields to take on West Riding County Amateur League side Campion, 6.45pm.
There is also international junior action with Silsden U14s welcoming Finland u14 Schoolboys to The Asda Foundation Stadium, 2pm.
