There’s a football bonanza in today’s Keighley News.
As well as reports and team pictures from the Keighley FA Sunday Cup and Liam Daly Trophy finals, involving Crossflatts Village, New Variety Club, Oakworth and Sutton, there are also pictures and reports from matches involving Cowling, Oakworth and Cononley with action pictures of Stephen Barker, Miroslav Allen, Ben Smith, Phil Lyness and Chris Lumsden,
Completing the coverage are details of matches played by Keighley Oaks Ladies, Cullingworth Youth, Royal Oak (Haworth), Steeton and Silsden, with a mug shot of Joe Gaughan illustrating the latter, and youth reports from Keighley Shamrocks.
Despite the season reaching an exciting climax in many leagues, there are again no tables, fixtures or results but there is a report on Silsden Juniors’ fund-raising efforts to help pay for their summer tournament in Barcelona.
Elsewhere in the paper are reports on former Bradford City star Lee Duxbury’s charity sky dive and cycle ride this weekend plus pictures of the winning teams and a report from the annual Beavers, Cubs and Scouts five-a-side tournament at Silsden.
