Steeton go direct for new season boost

Their West Riding County Amateur League season has only just finished but Steeton are already planning ahead for the 2012/13 campaign with an innovative village directory idea.
After finishing in their highest-ever position in the football pyramid, the Chevrons are looking to push on and are seeking the support of the local community and businesses.
The club are targeting 40 local tradesmen to sponsor a player for next season at only £25.
Club manager Roy Mason said: “This gives you your business name and phone number in the programme for a full season.
“We are looking for the people of Steeton to use this as a trade directory, one that when they need a tradesman they look straight to the players’ sponsorship page.
“At less than £2 a game it’s a really cheap way of advertising – invoices can be provided by club as well.”
The club are also offering £50 for a half page advert in the programme and £100 for a full page.
They also still have a few advertising board slots around the ground that are available for £200 – which includes the board being made and erected.
