Double celebrations for Crosshills

Crosshills players can be forgiven for having two celebration nights this weekend.
Late fixture changes meant their annual presentation evening was held on Friday, the night before their winner-takes-all Craven League Division One clash against Trawden Celtic.
But the first team were on best behaviour and gained the win they needed to secure the title – and spark another night of celebration, this time with no need to show restraint!
Steve Brown took the first-team player of the year title with William Storrie named players’ player and Tom McCann lifting the young player title.
For the reserves, Rob Matthews was player of the year, Billy Skelton, players’ player and Will Lockyer young player.
The Under-18s player of the year was Luke Wilson with Todd Duncan gaining his peers’ votes.
