Youngsters deliver Premier promise

Talent spotting scouts were out in abundance at the annual Silsden Juniors Six-a-Side Tournament at Keighley Road.
More than 500 young players were in action, playing for 84 teams, and impressing scouts from Manchester United, Manchester City, Blackburn Rovers, Burnley, Leeds United and Bradford City.
Action covered six age groups, with Under-6s getting their first taste of team football.
There was home glory in the Under-8s, where Silsden finished top.
The Under-10s final saw a single goal enough for Bingley Barca to beat Oakworth but there was double heartbreak for Keighley Shamrocks, who lost in the finals of both the Under-9s and Under-11s, to Ilkley (4-2) and Thackley (2-0) respectively.
There are pictures from the tournament in this week’s Keighley News.
