Silsden warm-up is bubbling up nicely

Danny Bolton: Making progress

With the new season kicking off for real in just a week’s time, Silsden get a fourth warm-up match under their belts today.
And ahead of their North West Counties League opener at AFC Liverpool next Saturday, they face their toughest test so far.
After a draw at Knaresborough and wins at Pontefract and Oxenhope, Chris Reape’s side are at Evo-Stik North League side Clitheroe, 3pm.
Assistant boss Danny Bolton said: “They are arguably the toughest side we’ve faced so far.
“Chris and I have been more than happy with the lads’ commitment, application and quality in the first three games.
“We have progressively got better and against Oxenhope we looked very strong for long periods of the game.
“Today will put us in great shape before Liversedge on Wednesday and then, more importantly our opening day fixture.”
