Oxenhope plan to turn to youth

Oxenhope Rec logoOxenhope Rec are making a return to youth football, several years after a junior team last represented the village.
Next season will see Oxenhope playing at u17/18 level for the first time for about 13 years.
The team will be made up of local youngsters already at the club plus the bulk of this season’s Oakworth Juniors u16s squad and are expected to play their games at Marley until the problems with the Centenary pitch are sorted.
Current Oakworth u16s manager Paul Scott will manage the side, who have yet to decide which league they will be applying to join.
The last junior team run by Oxenhope produced players such as Chris Day and Ben White and played on the Slope under Colin Day.
