Oakworth Primary School had a star player in their midst as they were crowned local cup kings.
The u9s team were crowned champions of the Oakbank School Primary Football League and presented with their silverware by Bradford City midfielder Chris Atkinson, who is on loan from Huddersfield Town.
Oakworth won their way through qualifying rounds to reach the finals, where they beat Worth Valley (3-1), Victoria (2-1), St Stephen’s (3-0) and St Andrew’s (4-0), drawing 1-1 with Hothfield to finish top of the table on 14 points.

Runners-up were St Stephen’s, who won three matches to gain 12 points, one ahead of third-placed Victoria.
The tournament was run by Oakbank sports partnership manager Steve Bell with help from the school’s sports leaders.
