With manager Rick Cummins unavailable, Oxenhope legend Paul Brealey stepped into the void to add his knowledge and experience to  the second string’s West Yorkshire League Alliance One title push.
The top of the table clash with Hunslet ended with Oxenhope deserved winners.
Liam Blacka opened the scoring with a brilliant diving header at the far post, converting James Bailey’s pin-point free-kick.
Bailey made it two when he smashed a pass from Ellis Atha into the roof of the net.
Hunslet missed their only chance right on the stroke of half-time when their centre forward missed an easy header at the far post.
Oxenhope grabbed the decisive third and clincher when Craig Morris completed a well-worked move after great play from Nivard Trowers and Blacka midway through the second half.
Morris grabbed his second when he blasted an unstoppable shot underneath the dive of the despairing Hunslet keeper to complete a hardworking victory.
