A lovely early summer’s evening saw two evenly matched sides going into the last quarter.
Silsden scored in the first minute and held their lead thanks to some great goalkeeping from Jake Welford to end the first quarter ahead.
After 11 minutes, a fine throw from Silsden’s Finlay Smith found Sam Fearnly unmarked to make it 2-0.
Keighley ShamrocksShammys got one back from the kick-off to make it 2-1 and soon equalised, adding a third in the last minute of the second quarter.
In the third quarter, Theo Lloyd and Chloe Hodge worked tirelessly in attack to create more chances and were aided in defence by a great partnership of Fin Smith and Patrick Sherry.
Finlay Wilson took over in goal from Welford and made some great saves, while the freed keeper created his own chances at the other end.
Shammys scored late in the third quarter and again in the last period to run out 5-2 winners in a well-fought game against great sporting opponents.
