Pearson earns Halifax an advantage

Keighley’s Matty Pearson was centre stage as FC Halifax Town earned a slender first leg advantage over Cambridge United in the first leg of their Skrill Conference play-off semi-final this evening.
He was pushed in the area with seven minutes to go and Lee Gregory fired home the penalty for the only goal of the game.
Pearson picked up a yellow card, his third booking of the season against the Us.
The second leg is at Cambridge on Sunday. Grimsby Town host Gateshead in the other first leg tomorrow.
