Gaughan’s pair puts Stop Out top

A last-minute goal from Silsden old boy Joe Gaughan put his Stop Out SC team top of New Zealand’s Capital Premier League.
Morning leaders Miramar Rangers took a 43rd-minute lead but a bullet header from Gaughan put the reigning champions level within a minute.
A tight second half looked to be heading for stalemate until the vocal Stop Out support roared Gaughan on to bag the 90th-minute winner.
“The Stop Out fans’ support was fantastic and they went mental when I made it 2-1,” said Gaughan, who heaped praise on his team’s “12th man”.
