A new era began for Bingley FC as the renamed Wharfedale Triangle Sunday League side kicked off a new season with a draw in their opening friendly.
The former Bingley FC Young Boys took the lead with a screamer from new signing Chris Mawson after being set up by Ross Greenaway.
The hosts hit back to take the lead but another long-range strike from Mawson made it all square at half-time.
Sugden hit the bar and Le Smith scuffed a post in the second half but no more goals were forthcoming.
Manager Dec Corby praised his side’s resilience and, even though some players were missing, they still came out with a decent result. “There is plenty to build on and we will continue the pre-season with a positive outlook for the upcoming season,” he said.
