Oxenhope Rec Res 5
Oxenhope remain clear at the top of the West Yorkshire Alliance One table after a comfortable victory at winless Ilkley.
The visitors took an early lead when Leroy Hickman beat the keeper when one-on-one and doubled his tally soon after when strike partner Tom Thompson unselfishly squared the ball to him for his second.
Oxenhope continued to dominate but were unable to take their chances.
Before the break James Bailey crossed the ball to the far post and Hickman back heeled the ball into the path of Grez Robinson to make it three. Thompson then rattled the bar with a volley.
In the second half the visitors continued to dominate and the woodwork saved Ilkley going further behind with attempts from Hickman and Will Lee.
Lee was not to be denied, intercepting a pass back to the keeper he placed the ball into an open net and moments later grabbed his second, striking a vicious free-kick past the custodian to make it five.
But it was youngster Lewis Hopkinson whose dominance in the centre of midfield earned him his first man of the match award.
