Dragons roar to victory again

SilsdenSilsden Dragons u10 4
Calverley 2

An entertaining game went in favour of Silsden.
The first 10 minutes saw both teams going close but Silsden’s strong defence of Harry Whitaker, Lola Cunningham and George Ellison stood firm.
After 13 minutes Daniel Barnes swung in a great corner, which was deflected into his own goal by a defender to put Silsden one up.
Very shortly after, a fine through ball from the ever reliable Lewis Gartland put Jaylan Camsey away and he made no mistake to make it 2-0.
Calverley remaining strong, never letting their heads go down, and got a goal back but just as the half-time whistle was about to blow, Joe Armitage swung in a great cross, which went straight over the goalie and into the far left corner.
The second half was an even affair with Sam Brockbank making more excellent saves to earn a well-deserved man of the match award.
The Calverley goalie also pulled off some great saves, keeping Gartland and Ayik from scoring.
Midway through the half Ellison broke through two tackles and put Camsey away to make it 4-1.
Calverley finished off the game with a late goal.
