A good away performance from the Dragons saw them take a little while to get into their stride.
A couple of strikes by Jaylan Camsey and Daniel Barnes put the Dragons two up.
A few minutes later Lola Cunningham made a good tackle at the back, which was picked up by Whitaker who put man of the match Lewis Gartland away and he made no mistake.
A good battle ensued with some top quality end-to-end football.
Campion pulled a goal back with a well-taken goal by their No.9 before a long ball from Joshua Elliot saw the goalkeeper fumble it, leaving Camsey to score from an acute angle to make it 4-1 at the break.
The second half started with some lovely passing and a corner was deflected out for Barnes to smash in a half volley.
Campion kept their heads up and battled for another goal but to no avail with Sam Brockbank pulling off a great save.
The counter attack saw George Ellison make a great tackle, which Barnes picked up and made a lovely pass to Joe Armitage whose excellent strike was finely saved by the goalkeeper only for Camsey to tap in the rebound for his hat-trick.
From the halfway line Armitage ran at the defence until he was 20 metres out and unleashed a rocket that the goalie could not stop as it flew in to the corner to make it 7-1 and the final goal came from a corner, which swung to the far post where Camsey headed it back for the on-rushing Harry Whitaker to calmy slot into the net and finish off a great team performance.
