Oxenhope continued their purple patch of form with a convincing Craven, Aire and Wharfe Junior League u18 Division One victory at Horsforth and in so doing completed the double over their opponents.
The visitors dominated from the opening whistle but it was the home side who took the lead on the half hour mark with their first attempt on goal.
Minutes later Oxenhope equalised. Lewis Hopkinson collected the ball out wide, drove to the bye-line, crossed and Sam Murphy scored with a stooping header.
Just before the break the visitors took the lead when a long ball downfield was misjudged by the home keeper and Murphy capitalised on the custodian’s error.
Ten minutes into the second period, Oxenhope’s dominance was rewarded when a long throw-in was hooked home by Hopkinson.
The visitors continued to have the majority of possession but failed to add to their goal tally.
