Anson on attack to get Hills back to winning ways

Bradley Reserves 2
Crosshills Reserves 4

Crosshills bounced back from last week’s surprise defeat at Ilkley to pull back ground on the Craven League Division Three leaders.
The game started in a scrappy fashion with neither side taking the ascendancy.
Hills did create chances but failed to convert until Jimmy Anson’s deflected strike opened the scoring.
It took the dubious goals panel to award the effort to the Hills man but there was no doubt over the Bradley equaliser with a sweet strike from left winger Tom Wilson.
It wasn’t long before Hills scored again with Eddie Pawson bagging to take the visitors into break leading 2-1.
Hills extended their lead through Anson’s penalty but were again pegged back by the impressive Robbie Smith who got his rewards for his graft, scoring Bradley’s second.
Hills determined to see the game out packed the midfield with Jack Harrison breaking up play on a regular basis.
A second penalty was awarded and put away by Anson to complete his hat-trick.
Bradley didn’t give in and threw bodies forward. with the Hills goalkeeper Joel Arbabha making a brave save but injuring his own player in the process, meaning his team finished the game with only 10 men.
