Baker is too hot for Salts to handle

Oxenhope defeated Salts to leap-frog them to secure runners-up spot in their first season in the Craven, Aire & Wharfe Junior League.
The visitors took the lead in the first minute when a measured free-kick from Lewis Hopkinson picked out Callum Holmes who dinked the ball over the keeper and into the net.
After 10 minutes Salts equalised through a defensive error and on the quarter they took the lead following a break down the left.
Oxenhope re-grouped and started to play some superb passing football and just before the break a cross from the left to the far post enabled Joe Cutler to head in a deserved equaliser.
In the second half the visitors were relentless and laid siege toSalts logo the Salts goal.
Eventually the pressure told when Tom Baker’s initial shot was blocked by the keeper but Matty Klava nipped in to slot the ball home.
Oxenhope continued to give one of their best all round team performances of the season.
The points were secured when man of the match Baker topped off an outstanding performance by scoring a candidate for goal of the season, breaking down the right, going past two defenders, he cut in along the bye line drew the keeper and stroked the ball in from a narrow angle.
